About
Greetings! My name is Oby (pronounced “Awwbee”) Douglas.
Grounded in faith and family, I bring a unique blend of cultural perspective, professional experience, and personal growth to everything I do. Raised in Nigeria by my American mother and Nigerian father, I have come to deeply value diversity, connection, and resilience.
Professionally, I led in Sales, Customer Experience, and Relationship Management across global organizations like Xerox, Procter & Gamble, Estee Lauder Brands, THQ, and Kimberly Clark and most recently IHI (The Institute for Healthcare Improvement). My strength lies in building trust, driving individual progress, and developing successful people.
But my journey has not always been smooth. Early on, I struggled alot with shyness and invisibility in the workplace. Through intentional growth, I developed confidence, communication skills, and a passion for mentoring others who face similar challenges.
Today, I am dedicated to empowering individuals to find their own unique voice, build meaningful relationships, and unlock their full potential only because I know firsthand that growth comes from stepping out of your comfort zone and connecting with others in an authentic way.

Story about our logo
The name "Graceful & Grey" was inspired by my personal journey of embracing my natural grey hair, which began in my early 20s. As I grew older, I realized the importance of encouraging other women to embrace their aging process and proudly show their true age. This philosophy of acceptance and self-love is at the heart of this company.
The elephant logo symbolizes the core values I stand for: strength and wisdom and an association with family and loyalty makes the elephant a perfect representation of our commitment to nurturing connections and fostering growth. In some cultures, I have learned elephants are seen as sacred animals, embodying spiritual growth and peace. At Graceful & Grey, we strive to embody similar qualities to inspire others to do the same.
